Smarty (though not cheap, really) and an Amsoil EA drop in air filter (so the filter minder wouldn't suck down during normal driving). Next comes the SBC clutch, also not cheap, but beats the stocker for clutch holding power.

I know it is not a mod per say but buying used boxes and tuners can be a great way to keep costs low...eh it just an idea

Tone ring mod, cp3 mods, lose the turbo silencer ring, gut the air intake tubes.....fuel tank vent---yet to do, as well as the tone ring....thats about all I know for cheap or free....
