2 cycle oil
I started running a little 2 stroke oil in every 4 or 5 tanks to clean out my injectors.... one day i shut my truck off and it wouldnt start back up... Wer changed the lift pump, put in the in tank conversion, with smarty without smarty..... all had no results. They pulled 2 cycle oil out of my tank and said that might be the problem. has anyone heard of this going so bad....?

Never heard of any problems with running 2-stroke oil, i see no real benefits to it either, but i have never heard of it causing fuel system break downs, sounds like they are trying to blame something they dont know about
If anything it might be bad/dirty fuel, not the 2-stroke oil thats causing the problem

Who's "they" and were you running straight oil?? Start simple check your pressures several things in the fuel system will do this! CP3 PRV etc......

Nearly impossible, 2 stroke oil dissolves itself in the diesel. Just get a glas full of diesel and pour some droplets of 2 stroke in it. Don't stirr.
You will recognize it is made to mix itself.Or did you fill up and then adding 2-stroke oil? That may take a bit longer to dissolve.
You mean they pulled the 2 stroke oil/diesel mixture? Sounds to me "someone" made a bunch of money with success with a dirty fuel filter...

Yeah, I second everybody else's reply. Find a different shop. I've ran a half quart of ATF with every tank for 80000 miles on my '06 and never even heard of people having problems UNLESS they were running something that produced ash when combusted. I believe MMO was one of these but most 2nd gen guys I know have all been running Walmart brand supertech 2-stroke for 10 years with no problems. I realize they're VP setups but just saying with the 2-stroke, highly unlikely that caused it.
