Default Have Edge now, get Smarty instead ??

I have the Edge Attitude W/Juice, now and I am thinking of going with a Smarty from everything I have heard. I have had it for 2 years now with no problems, I like all the features of the temps, and turbo cooler along with speed alerts ect. does the Smarty have these options also? could I install the Smarty and use the Edge for readings and alerts? I am looking at mileage the most.

Get a JR for now, until you get the mods to support the SR (bigger CP3 or twin CP3's, bigger turbo, at least a torque converter and a valve body if auto, dual disc clutch if manual). You can keep the Edge for the readings, just unhook both injector harness connections from the Edge harness, and plug the stock ones back. Don't try and run the Edge and the Smarty at the same time, cause it's just a waste of time.

I forgot to mention I just had the tranny done with a Goerend billet input shaft, triple disc conv. and thier valve body. will the turbo cooler (timer) still work if hooked p the way described above?

IMO if your gonna go with the smarty go with the SR "more room to grow" and i would get rid of the edge all together, if you wanted to ... i wouldnt recommend it but if you ran the smarty on even numbers then you could run the edge but i havnt herd any good things about the stack... IMO edge is a good basic/starter programmer " and i know others will have other opinions" but if your gonna go with the smarty just sell off the edge and buy gauges. Mechanical gauges are ALOT more accurate than the edge anyways.
