Default exhaust brake

Can you put an exhaust brake on a stock, 05' cummins? Or do you need other mods to enable it to work correctly?

You can put one on a bone stock '05 without mods if it's a manual transmission. If it's an automatic, you'll need a separate transmission controller to lock the converter while braking. Some brands of exhaust brakes come with the controllers while some do not and have to be purchased separately.

Get yourself a Pac Brake PRXB, works better than the Jacobs and no vacuum pump to screw up. Comes with a compressor which works well if you ever get air bags.

Does it come with a controller or would I need to buy one?
