Default Tuning!

OK; It is like Apples, Oranges, and Bananas! Some like performance chips. Some like performance boxes that mess with the signals. Some like Flash tunning. I have heard good and bad about all three. Who hear knows how to properly Dino and street tune a vehicle, because these are just basic tunes. I know that the manufacturers have worked really hard on them to work properly. I would rather have my truck tuned correctly. If the Honda and Mustang guys can have theirs properly mapped. why is their not many that do it for diesels? The same principals of tuning apply. From idle to WOT and in-between. I d like to know the process of the blending that goes on for the diesels. The EGTs are killing my dodge with the Edge tuner, and thats just set with a tow tune? The DRBII Scan tool that I use tells me to get rid of the Box? any suggestions.

Yeah Ooops big time I posted on the Ford Side. It is about a dodge but highly relevent to a ford as well.

for what?

there is no master way to tune everything

and most people will not give this info up for it is hard to do and needs to be done by someone that knows who knows what there doing

What do you exactly want to know? - if your EGTs are killing you you need more turbo or some water/meth to cool it down.

Dont you think it might be a good idea to tell us what year of truck were talking about here?

Sure its a 2006 3500 dually with the Attituder. 4" exhaust AFE intake everything else is stock. Not interrested in water/methinal. So far just over fulling codes and high boost. However; When I go over lassen pass I have to disconnect the edge unit or the truck will derate becuase of the high exhuast temperature. So I think I will go to a flash tune and see what that does. If not I found a guy in portland that might be able to do the tuning. however he is a gas guy. one of the best that I have been told. I have yet to contact him!

well, take that edge and throw it away and get a smarty. Go see the guys at Jefferson State they will make that truck run the way you want it to. They built my truck. They will treat you right. Contact Us

Sounds like a good Idea. i have heavily thought about the Smarty. How come your using the The Edge Attitude? I am still debating on the Portland software guy.
