Ckeng light, excessive smoke, missing/rough running, high oil level

 

Well mine has been smoking a bit more than normal, doesn't seem to be running rough, just changed out the oil no increase prior to of after.

reason I asked about the "hearing it" is that I am getting what can only be described as a high pitched pinging, it only happens on acceleration below 2100rpm and above idle

 

How many miles? I've been doing alot of investigating on causes these injectors to fail and so far, what it seems or the general consincinse is poor fuel filtering. It appears alot of the fuel filters out there are only 7 micron and I understand that when Bosch designed the system it was designed to have a better filtration when what dodge set it at. I've always ran Baldwin filters on my trucks and I recently found out that the Baldwin filters are 5 micron! When my brother got his 04.5 I convinced him about the Baldwins and he's been running them since and has had no issues and he's running a 100hp chip in his.

 

Just turned over 70K, been changin out the fuel filter @ every other oil change I have been using the WIX fuel filters since last year when I bought it
