Default Has anyone tried this?

Hey
I was thinking about trying to stack the Banks Six Gun with the Smarty S-06. And my fuel system is stock so would i need to upgrade it as well for fuel delivery? Any help is good. Thanks

What would you hope to achieve with that setup?

My hope was that they would work well together and give me enough of a supporting base to where I can advance without having any other programs. Ive heard good things about both but I didnt know for sure if they were compatible with each other. I figured it would be comparable to stacking edge juice with attitude and the smarty which Ive heard of people doing.

And thanks captain I was kinda figuring that too. Since this would be kind of a progression deal I was planning on going with the six gun first then trying to stack the smarty later. But I wanted an idea of everything that would be envolved so I didnt go off putting my cart befor my horse and overloading something. Maybe an aftermarket cp3 as well.? I figured itd be easiest to get the big hoss kit especially since I need to get a CAI still.! And Id like to have the intercooler and try out the bigger wastegate. But that might be a little off subject.

Do you know exactly what the Smarty and Banks units do in terms of timing, duration, pressure, boost fooling or anything else that may come into play?

As far as I know the Six Gun tunes pulse width, fuel presure, and timing. I'd imagine it also has a boost fooler programmed. The Smarty taps into ECM boundaries and, other than protection modes and diagnostics, it tunes fuel pressure with or without timing added. But without any boost fooler. That's basically what I understood about the two.

i had the same setup on my 06. it worked ok but banks still defuels you. so your running on smarty top end. its smoked good, but i bought a used MP8 and WOW what a difference. it seemed like banks wasnted doing nothin at all. It will work but i would suggest selling the banks if you can and buying the mp8.
Good luck.
Heres a smoke shot where i had them two stacked.
