Call a couple of diesel performance trans shops before you buy something like that. The parts that I have for my rebuild alone cost more than that rebuilt transmission, that says something about the quality of parts going into that transmission.

Learn from my mistake, do it once, do it right or you will end up spending way more in the long run.

Up Revmax

I have purchased from them. They are great ,they stand behind their product and don't let the price fool you. I haul horses all over the place, haul hay and not to mention my dodge is a daily driver and we go to the PIR for a little fun. If I needed to purchase another torq, I would be calling them.

Default Revmax

Yes, from Revmax, their torq converter has been in my Dodge since last April, I also had my tranny rebuilt at the same time. The dodge hauls like a dream with a trailer full of horses or hauling 8 ton of alfalfa down the freeway. Climbs the Mt passes with no problems.

After driving the same truck with the same mods with a Revmax and a DTT converter, I will take the DTT anyday. HUGE difference in the way the truck responds, way cooler trans temp also. When we were inspecting the Revmax unit that came out you can see that the pump hub wasn't put on straight and was working on ruining the front trans seal. If I hadn't had the trans rebuilt when I did chances are that thing would have left me on the side of the road, all because I was trying to save a few bucks.

So if I make him a converter and charge him $1500 for it, it will NEVER go bad?

WRONG! I know nothing about converters!

Ever heard of the phrase "good deal"? Exactly what's IN a converter that should cost you $800?
