I was drillin for my EGT probe and noticed this when I took the intake off. It has a little play in it... I wouldn't say aot but you can definatly say it moves... What is going on is this thing on it's way out? It only has 15k miles on it and only the stuff in my sig done to it.... HUGE pic so wait for it to load...

I don't know but mine looks the same, or at least very similar. I have my silencer ring removed and I think that might have some thing to do with it.

I'm just hoping that it's not touching the inside of the case.

does the find hit the housing?
most turbos will have some play any way. usualy side to side

I thought about firing it up and watching it but man that thing spins really fast, you can not see what is going on without a high speed camera and video editing software.

Just saw this also but I think it is supposed to be there... Looks to symetrical to have broken off.

That's what I thought... You could see a little bit of it in the first picture and I was like "OH *%#@" It looked like a chunk had broken off but after I looked closer it looked WAY to symetrical to not be made in there. Any Ideas on what the discoloration on the turbe vane is?

I know it sounds silly, but it looks like a balancing weight. I obviously don't have a clue.
