so i bought the edge juice with attitude, and am using it mostly for the fuel economy. my truck is an 03' 3500 with the H/O Cummins and is bone stock, and like to think im really good to it. so my question is : on level 1 ( fuel economy setting) it makes alittle more noise, sounds more like my old 3 gen 24v, so i asume they have done something to the pre injection system, to be more effecient on fuel? will this starve the engine of lubrication or anything like that? i use it on road trips, and cant help but wonder what its doin. any thoughts???

 

i noticed the noise in mine as well i think it is the injection timing advanced

 

You are hearing a combination of high rail pressures as well as timing advance. Won't hurt a thing.

turn the radio up, it all sounds the same.

 

When I had the J w/A on my 04.5, I ALWAYS got better mileage on higher settings. I usually ran on level 3 or 4.
