Default Mileage Max and Exhaust

Anyone tried the Edge Mileage Max yet? This is my fourth Dodge diesel, but I've never had one that actually had warranty left on it when purchased! Does running the Edge or removing exhaust restrictions void warranty? Thanks for the help to the newbie!

Removing the converter and adding a programmer or module, will void the warranty. Just an FYI, the can detect if either one has been installed. Modules set MAP & rail pressure codes. Programmers erase the key count or when returning back to stock, they erase the ECM completely.

Exhaust no... Edge yes! Really depends on your dealer though. Might what to go talk with the head in the service department to get his opinion on it before you find out the hard way. Sorry no help with the mileage max, but I did hear mixed reviews on it. Welcome to DieselBombers as well!

Not trying to start an argument, but it states in the owners manual if you alter the emissions system, it'll void the warranty.

After cat there should be absolutely no problem Even a full one that retains the cat shouldn't be either. Remove the cat yea theres a problem

Really shouldn't have to remove the cat unless your making above 400 hp.

But it helps a lot to swap the factory muffler for a full flow. Whether stock or modded slightly.

technically if you remove the converter it will only void the emissions warranty. if there are any problems they have to PROVE that any modifications that you did caused the failure. example, if you put a 4" exhaust on it w/o a cat and the oil pump locks up they can't void the warranty because you have aftermarket exhaust cause there is no way that new exhaust will cause the oil pump to lock up.

the smarty is un-traceable by a dealer. one of our members had a dealer try to find any signs that the ECM was flashed with his smarty and there wasn't a trace....
