Default Smarty Question

I知 curious what exactly the benefits of the adding timing the Smarty programmer offers? I知 currently using the bully dog triple dog but thinking of switching to a Smarty. Anyone have anything good to say bout that programmer?

Your going to get more power and smoother power with the Smarty. The new Smarty Revo software will allow you to do custom tuning for your truck.

You can custom tune:

Speed-limiter

RPM Limiter

Shift limiter

Torque Management levels

Injection timing

Rail Pressure

Wastegate

Best programmer currently on the market for the CR Cummins.

I may be wrong in my thinking, but weren't there a lot of problems when some were using Bully Dog then switched to Smarty? I know it was one of the programmers.

You can back down the timing if you run large (LARGE) injectors or nitrous.

Bumping up the timing can result in huge power gains. A proper timing setup will lite the turbos muck quicker and makes a big difference in drivability if you are running a big twin set.

The Smarty also has a torque management control that can be adjusted from extremely responsive (lite the turbos instantly) to let your wife drive the truck (ya right!). More torque management = Better fuel economy.

If you go racing you can shut off the shift defuel function and will see a big difference in your 60' and 330' times. You can also crank up rail pressure for more power (at the track).

Why do you run the Bully again?

the problem people were/are having is that the bully dog is deleting the last couple of digits of the VIN # within the ECM and when loading the smarty, it reads invalid VIN. if people run into this, Bob can write a file to fix! another great reason to get a smarty is the customer service of not only the dealer you purchased it from but Bob Wagner and Marco are killer to deal with as well!

Talking Way to go Bob and Marco!!

I just want to praise the Smarty publically! I am impressed everytime I drive my truck with it. The joke about letting anyone else drive isn't really a joke. My wife thought she would never get to drive it again..... It was funny the first time she did. I thought she was going to lay rubber out of the driveway before she could get the hang of the new power.
Bob, I would like you guys to list what all you have done to my truck! For instance: I never use the resume function of my cruise control because it is too aggressive for my liking. I hit it the other day with the Smarty on 9 and it actually worked the way I want it to. I thought I would 'blame' you guys for that! I wonder what all you guys have fixed with this excelent product?!!!
I noticed right off that you fixed my tranny's shift points! Now the tranny shifts like I want it to; the way it should have to begin with! Again, way to go!! I like it so much, I would be willing to 'demo' it for guys near me so they can try it first hand and see what all the talk is about. I know how a guy feels about spending the money. You never know ahead of time if it would be worth it or not. It is! Go ahead and get yourself one. I can't see how a guy could be dissappointed with it!
Did I mention that I like the SMOKE too? I do!

Not that i have a diesel or a smarty but I do have a question. How long does it take to program with the Smarty? I'm assuming you can't change programs on the fly so how long does it take to change your tune?
