yeah too bad it's 200 bucks... I love the smarty and I aint goona pay 200 to get it upgraded so that it can adjust on the fly... It would be nice but I like mine in kill mode all the time and until they get a monitor i think it is a pain in the **** to keep it plugged in and laying somewhere so you have to grab it to switch really quick...

But it's another great step for Bob and Marco!!!

Well I got a call from my buddy who is a mechanic (gassers only)... He wants to beat his buddies old CB600 Honda, and he wants me to get the truck in fighting shape. So, I'm thinking a Smarty would do the trick, his friends bike runs a 9.13 in the 8th. So Smarty, Guages, and a good driver should have him beat. Big question though, how hard is this thing on the trans, and can the 48RE take it without being built? He wants to tow his IHRA Pro-Mod car and trailer around with his truck still, probably running a low tune with some timing for mileage, but once in a while he'll wanna take it to the track and lay down some times. Is he gonna grenade the tranny in no time like a 47RH/RE or will the 48RE stand up to it for a while?

Hate to rain on the parade and I can't say for sure because i haven't tried, nor would I - but i'm guessing a smarty on #9 would ruin an automatic tranny within minutes. (esp if racing, 4x4 boosted launches, etc)

Revo #9 is like 190 horse, and the TNT is like 230...that is asking a lot of stock components, esp a stock dodge automatic!

Well I wouldn't put him on SW #9... Maybe 5 or 7, but not 9, .

I keep mine on #9 all the time. Yeah the trans doesnt like it much, going from sitting still to WOT. But once I get moving a little then go to the floor it does pretty well. Just gotta watch the EGT's they get up there pretty quick.

So you are holding on a stock auto? I mean, it doesn't say anything about the trans in your sig, just double checking. I might load #9 on his for just the race, but after that throw him on 3 or 5.
