Default What parts needed to make 48re stronger and better

Trying to beef up my 2wd 48re and want to know the parts I need to hold power but not cost a ton and what the best brand is. I want to be able to have fun in it racing but I don't do it a lot so I don't want to buy a fully built one. Or if anyone noes of someone selling a built. One for cheap. Don't want to spend 4 to 5 grand

Here's what I've read!

Depending on your ultimate HP goals (mine is 600) your needs could change! But from what I read for 600HP it is recommended to install a shift kit first, but I'd actually do this no matter what! Then from there it was suggested to get an aftermarket Torque Converter (Triple Disk), aftermarket Valve Body, Higher ratio band lever, Billet Strut and Anchor, replace all of the plastic servos, a stronger 3/4 spring, and to top it off more and obviously stronger clutch plates.

Again that is what was suggested to me, so your needs could be different! Just google transmission shops in your area and ask them if they service diesel trannys and tell them what your looking for!

Anybody have more advice or something to add please feel free! I'll be honest I'm no very good with transmissions so I don't know what half this stuff even is!!
