Default Edge Juice w/ Attitude explained

I just picked up a used Edge Juice w/ Attitude and hooked it up. I have been playing with the settings and love it but have some questions. I am looking for good performance but do not want to do any damage.

Even in stock mode it is pretty easy to come up to the high EGT set-point and trip the alarm. What is a safe maximum EGT to set the alarm at?

Occasionally I can hit the boost alarm at 38 psi. What is safe max boost? What are the dangers of building too much boost?

I presume the low boost fueling adjustment basically adds additional fuel at low speed which increases smoke with each setting increase. When in Mileage mode less smoke (lowest setting) is preferred, right?

What exactly is the Edge doing to the engine when in use?

Other than poor mileage should I avoid running in the higher settings for everyday commuting?

i set my egt alert at 1250. as soon as it goes over that point it will backdown to keep it at 1250.

i cant tell you about the boost part though as i have a Dmax. too much boost can blow your head gasket.

i run my fueling at the highest level and have never tried it turned down to see if i get any better mileage.

I run my edge in economy most off the time. i crank it up when i feel like playing or someone pisses me off. it doesnt effect anything if you run in the higher levels just criusing. your egts might run higher but that is about it. also dont be affraid to adjust it on the fly

Interesting...one thing I wanted to know is if your mileage goes down in the higher settings if you are driving easy on the hiway

I usually run it in "drive" or setting 3 and leave it there. I have the low boost fueling adjusted down on this setting. If I want smoke and/or more power I bump it up on the fly.
If I turn it up to 4 or 5 and leave it, will it hurt anything? My driving is daily commute, half freeway with on occasional onramp afterburner.

I have mine set at 1250 too. My boost I put at 30. Problem is it doesn't seem to back down?? I've seen run up to 1275 and 34 respectively. My question is does it back down right away or is there a "fudge" factor? There is a setting on backdown there you can select a number from 1 to ?? . Not sure what this is.
Is there a setting I am missing?

Take some time to familiarize yourself with the programming.
You can run the EJA on any setting you wish, I leave mine on 5 all the time. The only time I change setting is when I tow and you can make any setting or programming changes on the fly. The Crazy Larry unlock is probably not necessary especially with the other mods you have done. It will only cost you more money in rubber.. The smoke level is actually adjustable as well thru the "low boost fueling adjustment".

You can run it on any setting- I used to run this on my truck a while back, just watch your egts- if funds allow switch to EFI- you will NOT regret it! 06+ it's the only tuning to run!
