Default Over/Under Boost Codes

Do yall have any suggestions as to why I still get over and under boost codes which put it into limp mode?

Your boost fooler may be on the fritz. See what happens when you unhook it.

well I have had the fooler unplugged for a week or so and no codes. Guess I will just keep going then. I thought when you replace the stock turbo, you had to have afooler to keep the map sensor happy?

What sort of boost code? Mapp sensor is held in with only toques head screws, real easy. I had an injector issue checked out last week and I got a turbo overboost code, 46.45 psi. Don't recall my gauge ever reading that high.

can't remember code but its when it starts up so I guess under boost. I have only had one boost code since I took my fooler off. It was more often when I had it on.

Sounds like the boost fooler fouled up the MAP sensor. Not sure how though. But it would be a start. If you got a local Cummins shop, be a good spot to pick up a MAP sensor. I do believe you only need a boost fooler if your running a stock turbo w/ an electronic waste gate. BTW, did they send a pigtail to plug into where the waste gate use to?

it is plugged off the the end cap they sent. Does the map sensor have anything to do with power? Could a bad sensor make it run a little rough?

If your getting an under boost code, it probably means that isn't sensing any boost pressure, or any air period. In turn will tell the ECM to go less fuel or worse put it in limp mode.
