I'd try replacing the boost fooler before anything else. If it was acting up you'd get codes and then once you took it off and the turbo produced higher boost than what the ECM normally sees you'd throw an overboost code. Try the simplest solution first and work from there. Best of luck.

Actually if a person is running a turbo that doesn't have an electronic waste gate, then they don't need a boost fooler. I could be wrong!

I just know that I get less boost codes with it off. I had more boost with the stock turbo than with this one. Could hold 40# with stock. Around 30-35 with this one. Don't seem right.

The way I understood it, an after market flows more air than a stocker. I'm sure you noticed how much more it lags at low rpm's when you take your Bullydog off. It's because it's getting more air than fuel, until rpm's are higher. You mentioned back at inlinediesel that you had your system pressure tested? I'd probably do it again. I'll see if I can find the thread that shows the parts needed and assembly.

Here's the link for the leak tester.https://www.dieselbombers.com/cummin...t=Boost+tester You mentioned low boost, how high a egt's were you running again? It could very well be your Bullydog needs updating or it's malfunctioning. Off topic I know, but it's a start to pinpoint the problem.

I bought some boot thing that goes over the turbo inlet and u hook up an airhose and open a valve and it shows how much air pressure is going in. Then close off the valve and listen for leaks. The first time I did it I had 3 leaks. But the last time I still didn't have anymore. My egts are still pretty good but I miss my 40# boost. As far as bullydog it is prob acting up. Sometimes it works great and powerful. Othertimes I just turn it back down to stock. Seems like it has more low end power when off.

You are wrong. My twins are mechanically controlled, as was my original oem turbo. I will still throw overboost codes without the fooler.

Even before I ran twins, the truck would defuel to compensate for overboost.
