Default Truck Runs, W/ Or W/Out FASS

I was under the hood straightening out wires and must have unplugged the pump. I started it up and thought to myself I didn't hear the pump kick on. I hurried up and plugged it back in. Didn't notice any change in idle. Was about a minute before I realized WTF before I turned the juice back on. So whats the deal, leftover fuel being used, or worse?

on the 24V trucks the VP44 injection pump will suck enough fuel to keep the truck running but it wont like it not sure about the CP3

The FASS has a bypass built into it to allow fuel to be pulled through if the pump shuts off. The CP3 wont get hurt if this happens...as this pump pulls fuel from the tank in D-max applications.

Yeah your fine, like the guys said, the CP3 will pull fuel on its own. I wouldn't run down the road like that for any period of time. But I wouldn't be too worried if the pump failed on the highway, I'd be more than willing to drive it to the next exit or pull off rather than try to work on it in the street.

Nice to know I can still make it to the nearest town in case of failure(fail safe). Thanks guys!

if it does do this just take it easy when getting to the next exit or you can cause damage
