Default Final chapter in my 11sec street truck build

Hey guys,

I am finally ready to finish my street truck project that I have been working on since March 2012. I have the cash and a parts list, I just need some advice on the last few things I need and I will hopefully have my dream truck completed. My signature is up to date, so these parts are in addition to the parts list there.

ARP 625 studs
HD Valvesprings
HD Pushrods
Local shop is gonna O-ring the head for me
ATS dual fueler kit w/LBZ pump
100% over Exergy injectors
Cam? (I have heard mixed reviews on whether or not a cam is worth it)
Girdle? (I was told this was only needed once you hit the 1000whp mark)
Caltracs to keep the rearend planted
EFI Live (Not sure by who yet)

For those who want to know my plans for the truck, I will not be using it as my primary vehicle (Owned the truck since 2012 I have only put 10,000 miles on it since then) nor do I expect to tow 30,000lbs up a 7% grade with it. However, I will be using it to run down the local drag strip and tow about 10,000lbs (both would be a couple times a year tops). For the most part I am building this truck to make some where north of 800whp and run low 11sec 1/4 mile times. Most of all, to put a smile on my face and for me to enjoy it. 90% of the time my current setup doesn't see more than 15psi on a daily basis, I do not believe in abusing my stuff. Thanks in advance for all the help and advice.

I need to add a couple things to my first post:
1.) I forgot to put rocker studs on my list
2.) I have no idea who to go to for EFI Live tuning

Thanks again guys

HA HA The right person didn't read it yet! Remember this is diesel bombers AKA young guns with a few old timers that stick around for the occasional laugh but want to help!
Not many in the know for 11 second truck help here! Try Competition diesel!
Anyway your on track! Get the cam Hamilton 188 220 will work fine! Forget the girdle. Don't forget the ZDDP additive! Put a 2 micron filter if you dont have it already. I got a number for a good EFI Tuner Dustin 870-710-3850 Tell him Andy CA Sent you!

Are you planing on compounds or a single turbo setup? Single a s475 compound stock/475 or 62/475.

ARP625 studs good choice.
Valve springs good choice
Push rods could be up for debate
No reason to o ring the head, not worth the time or cash for your goals.
Good choice on ATS dual Cp3 also good choice on injectors.
Cam isn't needed, with efilive cam is old school to a degree and only going for 800 hp you do not need one. Would help spool the single turbo, yet a good efilive tuner will do wonders.
Caltarcs will help no doubt!

A lot of good efilive tuners, do your research, they will make or break you. This is the most vital part is the tuner and to make sure the person knows what they are doing!

Also you'll need a lift pump at minimum a 10 gph pump, I like fass or fuel lab 200 will do the trick. A build trans to hold the power as well.

Dangerous1965- Thanks for the response and I may have to join Comp diesel. Also, I have an AD2 system which I believe has a 2 micron filter. I will give Dustin a call and see what we can come up with thanks for the contact.

Allen @ XDP- My signature is up-to-date on my mods. I already have Engineered Diesel compounds S366 over S480. I was looking into O-ring the head, because of the high boost pressures everyone so far has told me anything producing north of 60psi should have O-rings. I have heard mixed things about cams some people say do it others say don't bother. I personally know a guy with a triple turbo 2003 Cummins running the stock cam and he made 1148whp on #2 fuel only. I have an AD2 165 lift pump which should keep rail pressure with no issue if I need more I may just add a secondary lift pump. As far as tuning goes I am going to get in contact with Dustin (The guy Dangerous1965 mentioned above) and possibly Ryan Milliken @ Hardway Performance and Chase Fleece at FPE, because a friend of mine knows them both and told me I'd be hard pressed to find anyone better than those two. On a side note, do you guys have the BD Xtrude aux trans coolers back in stock?
