Okay thanks. Sorry to bring this up once again but I was thinking this morning and looked at my batteries in my truck. One is a lot smaller such as a car battery. Now is it easy to turn a diesel engine over when it's cold?? When it's hot maybe I'm not cranking fast enough?

Your batteries should both be the same CCA. A diesel takes more power to start when cold due to the grid heater.

Everything takes more amps to crank over when cold, with or without grid heaters or glow plugs. As stated above, Diesels use more power for grid heaters/glow plugs. In your situation, you have 2 grids in your heater, each that pull 100 amps.

I didn't prime the system. All I know is the guy that had it before me out a ip on it an hard starts every damn time and I tightened some fuel lines too

If there's air in the lines won't it work the air out if I resolved where the air was coming from

If you find out where the airs coming from id say yes. I just went through changing the fuel filter and couldn't get the system primed. It was a pita, but I got it eventually

So what are you saying

Do you know where airs coming from? If not try priming the system if you haven't already. Raw told me to pull the inlet line going into the injection pump just loosen it a quarter turn then bump your starter and leave key in run position and look back at the bolt u loosened if there's a steady flow of full you know theres no air in the system.

AirDog Raptor 100gph lift pump, I bought it today and put it on. The truck started right up I mean right up. I turned her off a couple times waited about 10 minutes and it fired right up again. I mean its never started that good besides in the mornings. Anyways I went inside all excited and what not and went back out to go drive around, I startedcranking her over, it just kept cranking and cranking i actully quit, say the f word a couple times and tried again. She started the second time. Now I'm not sure if there may have been a little bit of air in the system still? Or if I have a air leak somewhere I am STILL missing, or the VP44 has thrown a fit and decided to peace out. One last thing this is my main concern right now, Does anyone know the stock PSI setting on the Raptor 100 pumps? It is adjustable, I couldnt afford the fuel pressure gauge today so I am kind of screwed on that. So if anyone has any idea what they come stock at? I mean I am guessing it would be the normal 15-18psi right? Idk throw me some comments please. Help me out, this is a real PITA.
