Ok so I found a decent deal on a Edge EZ chip on craigsList. It said years 1998.5-2001, I get the chip and get home. I go to plug it in my 2000 Cummins and my MAP sensor is triangle with 3 prong but the MAP plug on the Chip is three flat. I heard alot of mixed talk about it being different chips for 01-02 and 98.5-00. So with that said, the guy told me I could rewire the triangle plugs on the EZ chip and be good to go. If not anyone have a Edge EZ chip for a 98.5-00 that needs the 01-02 model thats willing to swap?

call edge. im running adapter from them on mine but cant remember which way it is flat or triangle on the box

 

I called Edge the next day and the guy there said "you have the wrong chip, there is no adapter you have to buy a new one. Goodbye"

 

how nice of him. thats wired, my turcks a 2000 also and i have the flat 3 on my trucks map sensor

 

Edge used to sell them. Don't see why they would quit. I would call back again and talk with someone different.

 

My truck is a 2000 as well but the map sensor on it is a triangular shaped three prong. The chip connector has a three flat. The guy at Edge said its a totally different chip because my triangular map sensor is a different voltage than the three flat map sensors. So im thinking I should call back as suggested above and see which story I get.

 

get someone who knows what they are talking about. I ran an edge comp box from a 99 on my 01 and my juice with attitude came from my 01 and I put it on my 99 just by getting a different wiring harness... programming is all the same
