HIDs wont work?
I bought some 10k HID headlights and fogs for my truck and i plug them and only one side would turn on and the dash had the brights indicator lit up, which means there was a short somewhere... so i called the guy and he goes ohhh you need this special "canbus" HID kit. so i go the kit and go home and plug everything in and they didnt work once again and the foglights melted and broke the twist connector along with it. Anybody with HID's on here want to give me some help? Ive been hearing you need a relay system or something to make them work. Thanks for the help!
Maybe my truck doesnt like HID's

Well from my experience with hids you have to buy the ballast, the bulbs, and i would also buy the relay as well. I only bought the ballast and lights went threw two sets of lights and gave up on them, on the other hand a buddy of mine bought some and still has them and its been about 6 months when mine only last 2 (both sets). he told me that he turned them on and let them burn for 15 mins straight before he turned them off. Idk if that trick worked or what but i hope this helps. and also i would just buy the relay because its like $15 and what can it hurt

i have no relays just bought the bulbs and matching ballasts with them. you high beam light will be on on the dash if you just got low beam kits cause there is supposed to be a little led in there to trick it to stay on if you hit your high switch and one of my lights goes out if i hit the high switch.
