Another Programmer Question
I've been doing alot of research on programmers for my new 24v and I think I have it narrowed down to either an Edge Juice with attitude, or a Quadzilla Adrenaline with a Pulse V2 monitor. Can somebody share some personal experience with me on either one? I'm looking for pros and cons and any other mods that should go with it other than a better lift pump system.

You'll find a mixed answer on the Edge vs Quad. A lot of guys like Edge's customer support and reliability better. But, there are guys that have had luck with the Quad and swear by them. I personally prefer the edge. Both boxes are a good deal for the money as far as havin all of your gauges in one package. The other option is going with mechanical gauges and getting the Edge Comp which is a bad a$$ box.
Do some searching on here about the Quad and you will find a lot of the discussions for and against. I have seen nearly zero complaints about edge boxes on here. The only experience i have is with the edge Comp stacked with a Smarty though.
As far as other things to go with it, Intake & exhaust. Search for BHAF to find the instructions for a huge cylinder air filter install or get with Luke @ Diesel Dawgs for an S&B Intake, they run around $270. I like mine. Luke can hook you up with a good deal on any of the add ons you are looking for

Its an automatic, I actually already have an intake on the truck, I guess I forgot to update my signature.. Is the Edge Comp as adjustable as a Juice? I want something that I can play with and find the best tune for my use, which is pulling my horses around daily driving and some occasional tuggin. I was also thinking about throwing a small set of injectors or nozzels in it to go with my programmer. Is that something to think about or should i throw that idea away?

The Edge Comp has 5 Settings with 5 subsettings under each one to control the fueling curve. For the price and everything it offers, the edge Juice is probably the better choice. I did not go with the Juice and got a smarty and mechanical gauges then picked up the Edge Comp cheap after the fact. Injectors are not a bad idea, i upgraded recently to a small set of RV 275's (Great Price from Luke at Diesel Dawgs) had a little over $400 including installation at a local shop. They are a 40-55hp set.
My advice would be to get the Edge Juice w/Attitude (or ADR depending on your decision between the two) but dont tap the injector pump wire until you get around to beefing up your transmission. It will give you a good power gain compared to stock. If you tap the pump wire, its just a matter of time until you get curious and pour the fuel to it and start slipping through the gears and wind up in a pickle.
I learned the hard way, i stacked the edge comp with my smarty (didnt tap the pump wire) and still smoked 2nd gear without even gettin on it. The stock automatic wont hold much power beyond what comes stock. Once you get your tranny to where it will handle the power, tap the pump wire and get on it. Or if you can tap it and think you can control yourself, you have been warned haha.
I was impressed by the difference the RV275's gave me especially for the price. And as far as injectors go, you want to get the whole injector, if you just get nozzles they have to be pop tested and end up being a hassle if you dont have those resources readily available.
I'm suprised noone else has chimed in on this but, use the search feature on here in the 98.5-02 section on any of these things RV275's, EJWA, ADR, etc.... and you will find a bunch of different opinions.

I went with the EJWA-CTS and I love it. the only things I dislike are that you cant enable the high idle function with it like you can the adrenaline (or I havent figured out how to do it). you also can't adjust the speedometer for larger tires with it. It will do an adjustment for them but you then have to use the read-out on the edge monitor for your spedo. So I just just reflashed my tire size with my Hypertech and that solved it, but that also means that I cant sell my Hypertech to recoup some of my investment like I thought.
as far as driveability...WOW its like a whole different truck! I LOVE IT!
I also got 100hp injectors at the same time but havent installed them yet. My plan was to do the programmer first then the injectors a couple of weeks later so I could tell what difference each mod made. However we got busy at work and I havent had less than a 75 hour week since mid March. I also sent you a PM
