Question running out of fuel

I need some advice guys....since I put in my ddp 150 injectors if I turn my truck above level 5 on my adrenaline the motor will air lock when I let off of the throttle.

I replaced my VP 2 years ago with a SO from industrial and figured it should handle my 150s but have had nothing but issues so far when I turn things up and get on it.

Do you guys think I need a HRVP or do you think there is something else wrong? LP pressure never drops below 10 psi and I have an oringinal AD150.

by air lock I mean that the injectors have to be bled out to get the truck running again and I am running custom tuning with fueling turned way back. Pump stretch is as low as possible which I believe is 1200.

don't go from full throttle to no throttle feather the throttle a little when you let off. it happens.

I have feathered the throttle for almost a quarter mile before after being on it and as soon as you let off it dies then you have to crack atleast 3 injectors and crank on it to get the air out then it will fire right back up.

i have saw this on the track. also street trucks. i have saw guys wire up the lift pump where it only run when the key was on not running while cranking. the problem is in your vp my buddy also puts a regulator on the lift pump side trying to get the pressure down just a little to make them work.

That is what I was thinking just wanted someone else to confirm it. Any idea how the quad would run it out of fuel like that? Would there be any settings i could change and make it better? It has progressively gotten worse and worse.

Im leaning more towards replacing the vp but also will be dumping the quad because im tired of it being unreliable.

What vp would be best to go with? HR or SO?

remove the quad and drive the truck to see how it works then turn quad back on. funny thing was I had the same issue with racing my 01 with ddp 250's but didn't with some lightning 3 injectors that made 60hp more
