ok, so i have a couple questions about boost and whats normalish.

With my truck on stock mode (comp turned off) i can hit maybe 22-24PSI, with Comp on in EZ mode on 5x5 (if that even matters) i can hit 28-30 PSI. Does this all seem like fairly normal boost numbers for what i have on it right now or not. I installed a boost elbow when i got my gauges put in, and without elbow i was maxing about 18PSI, and with in stock mode as said above, around 23ish



Just wanna make sure everything seems normal, ive never had another diesel before this to compare it to so let me know guys! Also, any idea what i will be boosting at once i tap the wire on the Comp?

With the wire tapped, you'll be able to overdrive the turbo easily. 40+psi would be the norm for a wire tapped truck and the stock turbo.

The last 2nd gen Cummins I had any seat time in with a J/A would see 40+ with it in level 5 with a load behind it.

 

so i can expect another 10 PSI boost in just tapping the wire?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

 

My HO with RV 275 sticks makes 36 with the comp tapped on kill...

 

hmmmmm, seems like theres some differences in boost numbers then...........

 

Mine makes 32 with a Smarty and nothing on the wastegate...i think its rusted shut..

 

when i was testing out a smarty i think i saw 30 with my truck......i cant remember for sure though
