Yup, it'll make near 40 depending on the boost elbow. If it's adjustable, you can get near 40, otherwise it'll be whatever the wastegate diaphram sees and responds to.
The only problem with an HX35 making 40psi is it's a hot 40psi even after the aftercooler cools it and hot boost doesn't power like cool boost pressure.
I keep reading 35psi on a HX35 for best power.

well, i tapped my comp box tonight, and i saw a max of 34 to 35 PSI, then it dropped off to about 31????

Why did it drop off, was it just the truck defueling or what?

Also, why am i not seeing 40 PSI? I installed a boost elbow from a guy who installed an Edge EZ and they sent him 2 boost elbows, he gave me one.

I don't see a 4" exhaust system in yer signature, so there's part of your boost pressure...these things have to be able to breathe.
It's very likely that you were very near 2700 rpm when your boost pressure dropped...factory defueling. You can get around this with an update to your Comp by sending it back to Edge...used to cost $100, I don't know about now. I let mine do the factory de-fuel, I don't need the extra rpm.

I can only pull about 32 to 35 psi it peaks then drops off really quick. I think there may be something wrong. Any guesses? And i played with the boost elbow, even vice gripped the line shut. no changes
