Default Smarty+Comp = AT Rebuild

Although the power I am making is sufficient for what i do, I wanted a little more top end. I found an Edge Comp for the right price and couldnt pass it up. Put it on last night, (did not tap injector pump) and even on 1x3 it is more than my stock AT wants to hold. After seeing my tach surge a few times i have turned the Comp off and plan on taking back out so i dont get tempted. Not to sound like a cheapa$$ but what is the most economical way to hold the power that i am making? is it possible to go with a good converter and keep the stock valve body? I know the majority answer is going to be suncoast/goerend and do triple disk + valve body, possibly billet shafts. The most i pull is a 30hp tractor (w/ implements & trailer +/- 8500lbs) maybe once a month. I just like to get to 60mph in a hurry if i need to.
