well since head has to come off when i get the truck and a commonrail is a direct bolt on with a little tlc why not swap over? from my understanding my injectors will work in it and for the crosstubes they need adapters for the lines. the manifold lines rite up and supposed to be a huge difference in air flow compared to eachother in stock form. just looking for pros and cons. where do i get a bare head? anybody done this? anything else needs done? thanks!

 

You are on track the 2006 and 2007 heads are the best as in flow perfect for a street truck/dragtruck.

There is a write up in TDR about this also i think.

Bare head from the junk yard or look on e bay motors.
