Need help with a 24 valve p-pump conversion
A friend of mine has an 01 2500 4x4 CTD auto that has been worked on by about 5 different local shops, and with over $35k in it, it still doesnt run worth a crap. Right now, Industrial Injection has his pump, and claims that it wont spool his twin set-up. As of now, he is about to just torch the truck and cut his losses, so Im doing what I can to figure it out.
Its got a 215hp p-pump (300k, from his work truck) had it rebuilt by a local shop, then sent to II for another rebuild in case the other wasnt any good.
62 over a 475 turbo's
181-210 cam
150hp nozzels
5" exhaust
cold air intake and aftermarket intake elbow
BD intercooler
Fass
Head pocket ported, o-ringed w/headstuds
Fully built billet trans w/tripple disk converter
4k gov springs
Timing set at 24 degrees
Truck has 3.55's and 35" tires and 22" wheels (if that matters)
Right now, it wont go over 38 pounds of boost, (the 62 is wastegated at 35 psi) and falls flat on its face at higher RPM's. Blows coal down low, but cleans out up high. Just has no power up high. Truck gets walked by a bone stock 6.7 mega cab. Industrial Injection is telling him that he needs to upgrade to a 13mm pump, but Diesel Dynamics recomends against those pumps. He does have access to a K32 turbo if that would be better than the 475. At this time, he would be happy with a 6-700hp driveable truck, instead of the current 350hp barely driveable dog.
Is there a serious miss-match of parts, or something missing? I would be thankfull for any advice. Just trying to keep my friend from torching a very clean, low mile (been in the shop(s) for the last 3 years) Cummins truck.
If you need any more info, let me know and I will get back asap with an answer.

Injector nozzels are stage 3 Jammers. Injectors have recently been pop tested.

Maybe too much timing? Do you know how many cc's(lph) the pump flows? It sounds like something isn't wired right and is cutting the fuel before it hits the higher rpms. What's the TPS doing?
Sorry man but I have to say this, If he can't get it worked out, I'll take'er off his hands . Yes, @$$hole I know, but temptation got me.

As far as I know, the TPS isnt in use. The original shop that did the conversion said the ecm only runs the gauges, no sensors. It is a p-pump conversion.

If its a lower pressure FASS, can I just get spring kit for the FASS, or will it need a whole different pump?

He did say 15k takes it. Has less than 1000 miles on built trans ($8500) and 140k on the whole truck. Any less and he will watch it burn.

I'll find out tomorrow about the lines and dv's. I think it has full cut dv's, but Im not sure. I lines are stock size, as far as I know. Part of the problem is fly by night shops charging him for parts that he never recieved. A "Hamilton" cam turned out to be a CR cam, and a lot of the reason the truck didnt run.
