the corrogated flexible drain would probably take up more room then it is currently, notching it and welding it is more work than hitting it with a ball peen hammer and has the same effect.

I did finally finish my exhaust and got to drive the truck, I have not had any problems, but I am running the truck detuned for a few miles, it held 40 psi at wot, once I turn the truck back up, I will be able to see exactly where the wastegate is, with my shop air setup, I could not see exactly where it is with a 50 ft long hose... and my regulator that is set up for pressurizing lines for trouble shooting etc only has a 35 psi gauge on it...

but wow what a difference, it definitely takes more to spool it, but when it lights, it lights! EGTs are way better, overall I am very happy with it despite this wastegate issue, i will probably work on the drain tube when I am fine tuning the wastegate, since I have to remove the tube to adjust. I am very glad I can make gaskets, and I have plenty of material...

I run my waiste gate slammed closed. DB diesel techs recommended it during the magazine article we did when I installed mine. My waste gate never opens.
