Default AirDog Install

I just got a AirDog 150 and was wondering what would be best on the fittings, I got some Teflon tape especially for gasoline & petroleum or would it be better with some kinda paste?

Paste is a deffinate, never ever use tape on a fuel injection system. This is a commonly made mistake that just never seems to stop being made and rebuilders love us for it. Even the smallest piece of tape goes through the system and you stand to lose everything.

Welcome to the site. Take some pictures of your install while your at it and put some how to notes with them when your done and you will have the first write up on the Air Dog install for the site.

Just got my AirDog on, sorry batteries are dead on the camera so pics will have to wait. With the 150 series it comes with the new 1/2" pickup so dropping the tank was the hardest part. There was a support for the driveshaft that had to be loosened to get the front retaining band off that holds the tank up. You also have to remember to drop the tank probably half way and disconnect your factory fuel lines and wiring harness from the top of the tank before you can completely lower it. Having seen a buddy that installed a FASS and me putting on the AirDog, I feel like I have the same setup for $100 less, plus bigger lines and fittings.

This leads me to a new problem; What next? Intake and exhaust or Juice with Attitude?

Nice I just or well am almost done with my AD 150 install. The rain is holding me up right now. Plus, I need to go back and put some kind of sealant on all of the fittings. What should I use and where can I pick some up at???

Use the teflon paste but make sure you get it up on the threads so it doesn't protrude into the fitting when tightened up.

This is my preferance for pipe dope.

This companies products have been used in military maintenance shops for decades now so they are well tried and tested in diesel applications.

These are Dr. Evil's Picks for what to use.

Permatex #2 is my general choice. Fuel resistant and works every time. A buddy of mine swears by simply PTFE paste.

Default TANK INSTALL

I AM CURRENTLY INSTALLING MY AIRDOG 150GPH ON AN 01 RAM QUAD CAB LONG BED. I WAS WONDERING WHERE YOU DRILLED THE HOLE TO PUT THE DRAW TUBE IN YOUR TANK. THE PICTURES THAT THEY SENT ME FOR THE INSTALL ARE OF A DIFFERENT TANK AND IT SAYS TO DRILL THE HOLE RIGHT WHERE MY VENT TUBE IS FOR MY FILLER NECK. ANY HELP IS APPRICIATED.
THANKS
