If it started after your filter change maybe your oring(s) got nicked. Sounds like air in your system. Park with the front end downhill overnight and see what happens.

If you are still running the stock fuel filter housing I would tighten all the fuel lines and closely inspect the wires going into the top of the filter housing. That is were mine was leaking and was doing the same thing. Did not notice fuel leaking there for a month of hard starting. But was jumping someone off after the truck was warm and popped the hood and there it was. replaced with a housing from an 01 and problem was fixed. Installed an airdog a few weeks later

My 01 has had this problem since I bought it. It's very intermittent. It did this with the stock fuel system and with my airdog, 3 different sets of injectors as time passed, have since replaced a smoked injection pump, still does it. Some people say that the source of the problem is actually the sending unit assembly that leaks air. I ordered in a Vulcan draw straw and will be putting it in tomorrow.

How long have you had your injectors? Check your oil to see if you have any fuel in there. You could be pulling in air or pushing out fuel as well. Possibly your crossover tubes letting some fuel past maybe.
