Head goin back on this week. Got some arp studs. A buddy says to cycle the studs by goin through the torque specs and than loosening em back up n do it several times. Sound ok? I've built aquite a few BBC's and never did this. Just wondering on some thoughts. I know after about 100 miles to do them again bit it sounds a lil off to me . Also goin on is a phatshaft 62 85 HP sticks edge cts pulse manifold fass 150 . What kind of power can I expect?

its in the arp specs to do this. it mainly just helps get the stud seated and if its going to strech any it does it then so by the final torque the are seated correctly. i would strongly recommend doing it as instructed by arp. and with an 01 with your mods i would expect 375-400 max.

Power also depend on the quality of your injectors and what condition your VP44 is in.

your local library may have a manual that you can use. but if i remember right the numpers on the bolts are as follows
22 14 6 3 11 19
26 18 10 2 7 15 23
25 17 9 1 8 16 24
21 13 5 4 12 20

if you google (dodge 24v head bolt pattern) in google image search it will pull a diagram that labels all the bolts right. im not able to show the bolt labels well enough on here.

also if i remember right u torque them in sequence to 77ft lb then go back through and torque them to 85 or somthin close. then you go one more time through them and turn them another 90 degrees all in sequence. i just redid mine a few days back. i went through all holes and blew them with air then cleaned the threads on bolts with a brush grinder. hope it helps ya

arp studs torque way higher than 85 they go to a min of 125. most builders recommend going over that number some what. mine are at 140.
