No less then puncturing a external wire. If a supplier/manufacturer is sticky enough about it, they will void warranty using either method. There is (at least on mine) a 5 point, tamper proof, torque head screw holding the cover down, and it is filled with paint. If the paint is disturbed, they know you have been in there......unless you have yellow paint as well.

 

haha ive been down that road and since i like to tinker with pretty much everything i own ive got the tamper proof bit set that any manafacture uses to keep you out of stuff so im not really worried i was just wonderin... either way i just ordered the stealth cover from blue chip diesel so hopefully this fixes my issue..

Lets hope this changes my mind on this quadzilla if not im junkin it and just gettin a comp

 

just solder the tap on so you don't have issues it's the best way to go trust me.
