SMARTY Settings
Ok, I've been playin with the Smarty for the last couple days. The question I have is that I have run all of the setting between economy and wide open, settings 2-9 and they all feel exactly the same and my 0-60mph times are almost identical on all of them.
Not complaining because it really did wake the truck up in the low end where I needed it, just don't understand why they're all so similar in performance. |
have u updated it? i had a friend who bout one and wasnt satisfied with it. ended up salein it to another friend, he updated the software and said it made a world of a difference.
I,ve been told bigger injectors say 75-100 make a big difference.:tu:
Injectors do make a difference but, the settings 2-9 are all the same power wise with or with out timing but throttle response and torque is there sooner on the higher settings.
jazz if that is true why would his 0-60 times be almost identical? if his torque was lower on the lower levels shouldnt it affect 0-60?
Smarty for the 24v is only like 75 hp so there might not be than much of a difference between the levels or am I wrong on the horsepower.
I have a smarty and wow when I go from 2 to 9 setting the truck becomes a monster and I haven't upgraded it yet. Have you set your timing, torque and duration to high yet.:c:
They were all the same, I dyno tested each one lol. There may have been some minor changes in power band location but all in all It was the same.
I generally lost about 40-70 RWHP with the smarty depending on level but it made the truck much more fun to drive! |
Are you losing fuel pressure? Could that be why you are not seeing more power. Running out of fuel supply. Just an idea.
Smarty Chip is 140 horsepower and 400 ft lbs
