The Smarty does exactly what I need it to do, it fuels hard on the low end. I need it to get heavy trailers moving in the fields. Top end power means nothin to me. This trucks never goes over 85mph anyway.

This thing powers hard all the way to highway speeds, so I'm a happy camper. Iwas just curious as to why no differences between the levels was all.

Uncle bubba , I never got a straight answer on that. I never saw any change worth writing home over between the levels. I ran it till I sold the VP truck, It was much more fun to drive and it's the all out best mod for a daily driver not looking for piles of extra HP

Thanks. For what I use this truck for I'll never tap the pump wire again. Been through 3 VP's in this truck and i hope to not see a fourth replacement. I'm convinced that that tapping the wire is just more then these pumps will handle in the long run. That Comp was fun to play with but that's to much money and frustration in my world for fun. The fueling with those boxes is just to radical.

I never had any issues BUT i was using a stealth cover. Some folks just have bad luck. I've got a customer bought a Advance Auto rebuilt Vp44 and I've changed that dang thing probably 10 times.

How much horsepower will the CaTCHER add to my 98.5-02 engine?

First of all, the power added by the CaTCHER depends upon the mods done to the engine.
That makes this question even more difficult to answer. On a stock engine typically we see an
Hp increase at the rear wheels of about 60 Hp.( Is there still such a thing, a STOCK truck??? )

With taller injectors the Hp gain increases. How much? I don't know! That depends upon the
injectors, turbo, intake , exhaust... You got the picture. The best mod combined with a
CaTCHER is without doubt a good set of injectors.

Fuel pump wire tapping boxes WITHOUT added timing come next if you're after serious Hp.
In that kind of scenario the CaTCHER becomes very noticeable in the top Hp range.
I have customers that have gained over 75 Hp with that kind of stack above all other stacks
they had tried before. If you have ears...

The most difficult stack with the CaTCHER is with boxes that add their own timing.
For those cases we've stuffed the softwares without added timing into Smarty.
Yet, I have to say, we're not taking the full advantage of the dynamic timing the ECM can
provide.
It has been proved many times by now. The CaTCHER stacked with a fuel only box provide
the highest Hp gain. More than what a timing&fuel box that can't be stacked with anything will
provide.

Done any more playing with settings? I got a Smarty the other day as well, and looking/listening for good settings. Seems my truck LOVES some extra timing.

I've noticed a difference in stacking mine with an edge comp, smarty on 3 and edge on 3 seems to be a nice dd. Smarty on 1 max timing 1 duration and edge on 1 helped my fuel economy Ive got a 150horse injectors and a phatshaft 64 with some other odds and ends done. I still have a heck of a time getting above 40 psi of boost though...it helped my bottom end, now I cant shift fast enough :s:
