2 cycle oil?
#2
The 2 cycle oil thing is mainly to lube the fuel system and make our injector pumps last longer. What it does is it adds lubrication to the fuel, which has been taken out by processing/manufacturing of diesel fuel, as mandated by Federal Law.
When I fill up my truck, I use 1 oz to 1 gallon. By this, I look at how many gallons I put in and that is how many ounces to be put into the tank, 16gal:16oz. It does lube things up a little better and it is also made to burn.
So, in general it does lubricate everything better, it also gives some peace of mind, due to the better lubrication of the fuel.
Hope this helps.

Before you start putting snake oils in your truck, I would check fuel pressure at the pump. You may have a faulty lift pump. You know what 2 stroke oil is good for? Chain saws. You know whats good for a VP powered truck? 12+psi at WOT. In all seriousness, double check your pressure and make sure you're not going to have to do your LP again anytime soon.
