Question whats the difference between the so and ho pumps

I have a 02 5.9 h.o with the new venture 5600 (nv5600) 6 speed trans my truck came ordered with the h.o engine and the 6 speed which also has the h.o vp44 pump. so for all i have done to my truck is a edge with juice with attitude and cold air intake. I been thinking about replacing my bad vp44 with either a hot rod pump from industrial or blue chip or a p7100 but i keep seeing y'all talking about a so pump what is the so pump?

SO is Standard Output. It came in the Auto or 5spd trucks. They can make more power with injectors and a box than the HO pump.

questions:
I have two motors a 24v and a12v how will that change things
does the bigger intercooler from the 24v make a big diff in power and water temp?
what do the three wires comming off the p pump do
seals and gaskets needed
use electrical from 12v only?
can I use the 12v cam shaft ie mechanical fuel pump

should be strait forward just remove the timing case pump brackets and pump gear as far as i know you just need the trottle cables to incorperate the apps if its auto and the lines and have the injectors dialed back to pop like a 12 valve because the pop pressures are diffrent some one said somthing about a cam gear but i dont know if you have to but you have to pull the cam to change the timing case so try the 24's if not use the 12's

1. You dont have to change the POP pressure on the injectors, run stock bar.
2. Dont use 12v throttle, Use the 24v throttle and cut it to fit. Using the 12v throttle messes with the tv cable causing shifting problem.
3. Weld the cam gear on so it doesnt walk off the cam (use a 24v cam Dont use a 12v)
4. If u have any questions on the swap, PM ME
