Default multiple 24v problems

i think my injector pump may be going out but i need other input on it. i seem to be losing power and fuel mileage i turned my quad down to level 5. i'm putting a fass hd 150 on cuz i was told it could be my lift pump. sometimes when i go to take off i have limited throttle response almost like a dead padel and my monitor says 100% on my tps i cant figure it out any input will help i'm fairly new to diesels. and whats a p pump conversion run just curious?

A p-pump is almost 2 grand and a ton of work. You need to replace the entire front engine cover.
ALSO not to be a dick, but are you running that tuner without a fuel pressure gauge on a Vp powered pump? Thats a big no no! Also you really SHOULD have had a better pump if you run that Quad on higher levels. The stock pump cant support that kind of flow. They are epic junk!
Have you thrown any codes? Had dead pedal?

no fuel pressure guage yet but i'm learning that is a huge problem with a chip. the guy before me ran it out of fuel with the stock lift pump and put a fass ddrp in but it doesnt seem to keep up. i'm losing hp and mileage and the dead pedal seems to clear when i power brake it for a bit

Yeah you NEED a fuel gauge! EGTs will be high at HIGH boost on the stock turbo. Its not made for that kind of output. Thats why I am going with twins this spring!

How much boost do you push when shes dying out on you?

Fass ddrp is designed for stock power level rigs... So a larger lift pump will def be needed. Theres nothing wrong with running a stock SO vp44 with any chip. In most cases they put up better numbers than HR vp44's... But def need a guage and back down on the tuning till you get a better lift pump but the damage is probably already done...

on my fass 150 i got it used from a friend and the brushes were stuck so i took it to a local motor repair place and they freed them up but i cant feel any suction on the inlet does it need to be primed first? or is there more wrong with it than i think

i agree with red. those dead pedal issues are most common with a failing vp. you need to get the codes checked. get a fuel pressure gauge asap and a better lift pump such as an airdog 150 or fass 150. then you can turn the programmer up and not have to worry. also may want to think about some trans upgrades or your going to be seeing problems before you know it.

depends on how much power you want...upgraded torque converter and valvebody, input and ouput shafts...and so on. suncoast and goerend are good tranny places.
