Default surging,jerking

when i start do accelerate hard the truck starts surging or jerking like the motor is missing with the edge box on 6 but if i turn it off it does not do it it is the quad cab truck the first one in my sig.

92’ regular cab long-bed dodge power ram d250 Cummins automatic 4x4 truck. The truck has 220,000 miles on it, and 20,000 miles on the motor, and transmission.. The rebuilt motor has new pistons, bearings, crank, rods. The rebuilt transmission has new clutches, new overdrive gear, and new torque converter. The transfercase has new bearings in it and was done when the motor and trans was. The truck also has a new radiator, new red top optima battery, new starter, new rebuilt injection pump when motor was done, just turned up the pump and put a custom ground fuel pin in it, new steering box, new drag link, fresh gas tank straps, boost gauge, and 2 gauge-gauge pod, a two sizes bigger hx40 turbo, 5inch miter cut chrome stack, also has a dmi bumper and stock rear bumper with a newer reese hitch, new drivers door window switch, power locks, and a set of tires with 80% tread left that come with it also. Truck only needs upper balljoint on passenger side and the brakes bled, brakes work you just need to pump the pedal FOR SALE

sounds like either your airdog is dying or you're ip is dying. btw that sig is long

I'm willing to bet its the edge jacking up on you. Mine did that for a while then it went completely hay wire. I would send it back to edge and have them check it out.

also a definite possibility. what is with these edge's it seems like a lot of people are having problems with them

check your fuse in the fuse box under the hood, where the edge power wire taps too

yesterday i had a guy come in that was doin something very similar to what you described, and the problem was the fuse would move after he hit a bump and start surging, never had one do that before..his problem felt like you fell of the pedal then when it picked back up it would jerk forward hard enough to move your foot and do it over and over

so i chopped a little plastic out of the holder so the fuse jumper still lets the fuse sit tight and good as new

my airdog is holding at 17-20 psi and is a little over a year old and it didnt do it untill i put the bigger injectors in and it has gotten worse since it has gotten cold could it be that the injectors are so big and the fuel and timming that the edge box is putting to it the pump cant keep up because when i turn the box to 0 it dont do it so would a bigger pump fix the problem

Mine does the exact same thing, are you getting any codes?

Hmmm... Sounds like you not getting the fuel like you need. The Edge is wanting to add fuel, and the Trucks system is fighting it. Find out if you have any codes if not I would send the Edge in. Those things are starting to create problems. Hmmm.... I think I mentioned this in the beginning of the year. Or last year before the first ban.
