FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE!!!!! then put a holley fuel pump in line between the tank and your lift pump and call it good.

its just an eletric pump that you put inline between the fuel tank and the lift pump. the different colors indicate different pressures. i run the black and at WOT i cannot suck my FP down below 16psi i idle at 24psi which is ok for me because i have the hotrod VP44. the blue would be ok for the stock vp. these pumps can be found used on ebay for 50 bucks or so. i have been running mine for 4 years and i bought it used. http://www.jegs.com/i/Holley/510/12-802-1/10002/-1

What lift pump you get depends on what power level you're planning on making. Airdog 95 is what I run and it is more than sufficient. If it were my money to choose my next mod, I would get a lift pump for sure. If you request a quote on the DB website, you will get the best price, all the vendors are very straight forward about doing business.
