I have a FASS 95/95 (turned up to a 95/150) and read all the threads about how the filters were junk – worse than stock. Couldn’t find a ready-made adapter, so I machined one to accept the standard 1-14 filters that are better, cheaper and readily available. Now I have a Donaldson P551313 – 2 microns at 100gph for $8. No water separation yet, but now that I know it works, I’ll be putting on a Parker Racor S3203 that DOES do water separation AND particulate filtration (2 microns at 90 gph) for $8 a filter and one-time $30 for the clear drain bowl on the bottom (you can also put a water-in-fuel sensor in it). The original “fake” water sep filter can stay on to do what it does best – keep rocks out of the pump. Anyone else interested, I should be able to make more for around the price of one FASS filter – P.M. me.
