Default DIY Bypass Oil Filter

Has anyone built their own bypass oil filter? Did you use readily available parts and filters? Where did you mount it? Where did you get the supply and return? And any other comments are welcome, too.

Not much experience with the "build your own". I know for a supply line, right off the top of the oil filter unit there is a screw that can come out and an fitting put in to feed the line. That's where our bypass 11 kit gets its feed. Makes it very easy. That fitting does come separate if you ever needed it down the road.
As for return, that's another story. I put mine right in the side of the oil pan. It's ok if done correctly. I almost screwed mine up by punching too hard and denting where the hole was. Was able to get it in and prevent leaks, so I guess it's working. The fittings and tapping screw for that are also available.
Good luck.

Again, not "do it yourself" but one of the cheaper kits Ive seen:

A remote oil filter is a MUST for twins. Taking the battery out to change the oil would get old real quick.
