so its the alt dragging the engine down that i feel when i'm pulling a hill and the clutch fan engaged fan ? ? ?

exactly hadn't read this page in a few days. But I think they missed that part. When the clutch fan kicks on while towing up a grade you can really feel it and hear it and it does help cool the truck down and in a hurry. It moves a ton of air across the engine too.
