There's an outfit called Steer & Gear in Columbus that does great things with these type boxes. I've used them a couple times and they do quality work. They can at least rebuild to your box to better than new spec, or possibly sell you a replacement outright. Give them a call:

I called red head and talked to them today. They rebuild the stock units w larger needle bearings and new gears. I ordered the box from them, so I'll post my results after the install. I also plan to replace the tie rods w the 09-10 molar unit.

Glad this is working for many of you! I have even heard that there are people finding the steering kit now from Mopar for <$200 with club/wholesale discounts! That's hard to beat.

Can anyone that has retro-fitted this to the older 2nd gens ('99 and older?) post up what taper they used to ream the knuckles and pitman arm?

Default Grease fittings

I did this on my 07 4wd and it was great. I just drilled and screwed grease fittings into the assembly so I was able to lube it. This should help it last longer for you.

That's a pretty simple fix for sure...
