b&w hitch install
i found a used b&w gooseneck hitch for sale for 150 bucks. i think its a pretty good deal, other than the fact it was pulled from a one ton chevy. will it still mount up the same? if not, my dad has a full steel fab shop, with access to angle flat bar and welders, grinders torches and MUCH more that i won't waste time with...can i make this hitch work in my truck without to much complication? i don't wanna have to worry about it when i pull a heavy load. (my dad is certified welder).... any tips on where to mark out the hole in the bed of my truck for the hitch and for the safety chains?? thanks guys!
I had a B&W hitch installed in my 98.5 24v and it is great. If your dad has the ability to install then you are okay. I believe my hitch ball sets center of the bed and about one foot in front of the rear axel. Good luck. Kerley
B&w website should have install sheets for your truck online. When i put mine in my 06 dodge, it was easy with the instructions. As long as you can modify or make new pieces that clamp to the frame, you should be set. I will be ordering one for my 6.7 ford when i get it next week. Good luck.
