Default htt upgrade compressor

i'm thinking about getting the upgrade compressor wheel and housing for my truck, the Stage 3.5 so i don't have to get an exhuast housing.
there apparently is some machining required. does anyone know what that might be? i work in a machine shop, so i think i could save that $85 dollars and down time.
i want to do something like this instead of twins so i can still use the turbo-mounted Jake that i have.

thanks

i called today and ordered the 60 wheel and housing. sounds like a simple spin job in the lathe to get the new wheel to fit. while its out, im gonna rebuild the center section.
the manifold might see a little porting too, not sure on that one tho.

I did the stage 3 kit several years ago. It's a quick job on the lathe. The compressor wheel sits in a depression on the surface of the center section to compressor housing plane. That depression needs widened as the new wheel has a slightly larger diameter. It took longer to get it chucked up on the lathe than to do the widening. I'm not a machinest and I had one of my fab guys do it for me.
As for the upgrade, It did cool things just a bit over stock. I tried it with both the stock 12 cm housing and a 16 cm non w/g. I didn't like the 16 at all at this altitude. With the 12, it spooled very fast and screemed like a banshee on crack!
I've since made the leap into 4" outlet turbo which meant new exh. brake, downpipe, etc. and I'm much happier towing.
