A few companies make kits that utilize your factory top turbo. I am currently fabbing up a setup that will use a S400 and my HX35. I have a hotpipe that will bolt to the S400, but has a S300 flange on it. Fortunately I have found an adapter to connect HX35 to HX40 flange. I have been reassured S300 s and HX40s have the same flange. It's tough to get just the hotpipe from companies, they know what your up to and don't want to loose a sale.

The kits look great, I do agree. I just can't bring myself to spend that kind of cash on something I can make myself for much, much less. Especially as I acquired my S400 for $0.
I have heard opinions that a S400 is "lazy" for a set of compound turbos. Yet I have ridden in 3 trucks using S400s, 1 that still uses the factory HX35 as the top turbo, and they pull HARD.

If you are going to run an s300, you want an s366. And in all honesty, you will save money by running a larger primary. The s400 and ht3b are both very good options for a set of all around street/towing twins on a budget. Both turbos are readily available, and are usually quite a bit cheaper than the modified s300 variants out there. Parts and kits are also readily available as well. The s400 would probably spool a bit faster than the ht3b, but both are decent chargers.

Sending you a PM to go along with this post as well.
Sean
