Mine had a relay near the left hood hinge. A wire harness from it ran down along the frame rail to the tank, another to the engine harness, and another wire to the battery. If you find and trace the wires from the factory engine harness lift pump plug you should get your answer. It is a square 2 pin plug located behind the fuel filter. That is also the location of the block mounted lift pump, if you have one.
