Default stacks or sidewalk smoker

I'm looking at either doing stacks with a 4inch downpipe going into 5 inch stacks or going with a turbo back 4 inch exhaust. Are there any benefits of stacks over just a normal straight pipe exhaust? I'm not adding any power quite yet but adding a quadzilla and airdog soon after hopefully

In addition to less noise in the cab, an exhaust out the back draws less attention from the cops.......bastards. You also keep more box room for hauling or storing items. Normal exhaust doesn't need to be polished to stay looking nice. Hell, I painted mine black to give it a sleeker, less noticeable look.

i think running it out the back works good all around, it tends to be a little cheapier, quietier, and a little easier to install. it also has a lot less to keep clean. also it works a little better to get those tailgaters off your backend i think. also if you turn it up a hellin' you don't get fuel and soot all over your stuff in the bed. but on the plus side, stacks sure look cool. i am trying to talk my old lady into some side stacks, but it isn't going so good............yet.........

Do a traditional exhaust setup. So much nicer than stacks. Plus no hole or holes cut in the pickup box

Okay thanks for the info guys, I was kinda leaning towards stacks but now I'm just gonna go traditional for the sake of money and maintenance. I don't wanna clean my stacks every week because I live on dirt roads and its already a choir keeping my truck somewhat clean, id rather clean a tip than stacks haha

living on a dirt road wont make ur stacks dirty. what they were meaning was smoke covering them. also if u get a miter or flat top stack, if u dont cover them, it will leave black soot dots all over the top of the truck whan it rains. as for a tradititional exhaust staying cleaner, BS. my tip was never chrome. it was always covered in mud, or road grime.if urs stays clean, u must never go down a dirt road.

my main reason for gettin a stack was because i dont like blowing smoke on people walking on sidewalks, or bikes i pass.

as for tail gatters, the stack puts it right in there windsheild

if my truck didnt smoke, i would have stayed with the traditional exhaust.

Well the tip I have on now stays pretty clean behind the stock mudflap so I assume a chrome one would still get dirty but not terribly, and as for soot spots i don't really worry about that but ill just go with a traditional exhaust for the sake of money, less money I spend on exhaust is more money towards a fuel system or a chip etc

Once i started turning my truck up i felt bad for everyone that was nice and would let me into traffic then i would unintentionally fill their car with smoke, if you plan on turning it up its nice for the other drivers and you can still smoke out tailgaters. Just be sure not to cut them too short or you will hate it they will be extremely loud in the cab.

Yeah I'm worried about being a completely *** hole with a traditional exhaust by smoking out people but at the same time I don't know if I want the cab noise to be any louder and I don't know if I wanna spend over 500 dollars anytime soon on stack when I'm trying to save up for an airdog and chip first
